President’s report June 2026
This report looks ahead to the future of our club. Several factors contribute to its strength. Our finances are in a healthy position, allowing us to support a range of activities. However, given the current economic climate and the hardship many are facing, we must remain mindful and respond with care.
Our other good feature is our membership. We have been able to keep our membership in the mid seventies which is great. Through advertising in different forms of media it has enabled us to reach our community in different ways. If we increase our membership too much it takes away the personal nature of the club.
We can strengthen the sales table by encouraging more members to bring items to sell. The table raises valuable funds for the club, and as noted before, we should not rely on only a few people to keep it well stocked.
I look forward to the time when life feels more normal again and the pressures of the current economic climate are no longer such a dominant part of our lives.
